I am no expert on Obamacare, and it has always confused me, like everyone else. I was wondering how they were going to force people who were happy with the insurance they had into the Exchanges. I never believed any of the President's claims, but I did wonder how he was going to pull it off.
Now we know!
What he failed to mention, as was pointed out on O'Reilly by a liberal, was that "You can keep your insurance if it meets the new government standards (we will be writing over at HHS)."
Since covering pre-existing conditions was not specifically allowed in existing insurance policies, they would necessarily fail to meet these new Government Standards. [the fact that so many usually intelligent people can call this "insurance", and actually believe that it is, troubles me greatly.]
The Federal Government is now deciding for the citizens what kind of health insurance is "good enough" for them. How is it that the 85% who had insurance and were happy with it, are suddenly told by the Federal Government that YOU have been cheated by the insurance companies who charge you high prices for a lousy plan! The word has gone out from the White House; this is the official spin. Democrats have been given their marching orders and now you will see them and their fellow travelers, all over the news and cable telling us what lousy insurance we had and how they are giving you [making you buy] a better product [that you don't want] with better coverage [that you don't need] for a cheaper price [compared to what?]
Thank God Obama and Sebelius have stepped in to save you from the evil insurance companies! They are sending their brain-dead minions out to attack the "lousy" insurance plans we had.
They had this bobble-head go on the Kelly File last night and say "This is CAPITALISM at work?" This is the same guy who sat on the Issa panel, and asked his "questions" [made his little speech] in a very odd manner. He was sing-song. in his speech and he constantly bobbed up and down and side to side - quite rhythmically, as if he was hearing a nursery rhyme in his head. He looked like a bobble-head, and sounded like an idiot. And just in case anyone missed it, he did it again on the Kelly File, bobbing sideways as he refused to answer her questions. It was quite disturbing, actually. Maybe he has Tourette's Syndrome.

Notes from February 2009 that now seem prescient!
This was from early on in the Obama administration, when it started being obvious that the man was in way over his head. Sorry I didn’t date it, but it looks like I wrote it before Obama took over GM.
- The 1990 song "The Emperor's New Clothes" by recording artist Sinéad O'Connor has the same general message as the original fairy tale. The song ends with the lines, "through their own words / they will be exposed / they've got a severe case of / the emperor's new clothes."

- Right now the country is looking a lot more like a banana republic in South America than the United States. Obama has initiated an all out assault on capitalism and I am scared to death. Capitalism is the engine that runs our economy! It is the source of our wealth and opportunity. Obama seeks a controlled economy, because he doesn’t like the “unfair” outcome Capitalism produces. When the government controls the economy, the government can set salary caps, as it’s already done with the evil doers on Wall Street. Somehow the UAW is going to wind up owning Chrysler and GM!
- I revere the Constitution. I believe men smart enough to form a new country that would last more than 200 years were certainly smart enough to say what they meant.
- I have been so stressed out since the election. This is no ordinary political cycle or swing of the pendulum. This is the perfect storm for those who want to remake America. The most liberal elements of the Democratic party are in total control of the Legislative and Executive branches. The media is in the tank for Obama, which is absolutely shameful. That leaves only the Supreme Court and I don’t want to be relying on Anthony Kennedy to save our country! *

We Told You So! Horror stories of Obamacare grip a Disbelieving Nation!
We conservatives tried to tell people but they preferred to believe Obama. My sister is an oncology nurse. She knows what cuts are happening because it's already been happening for the past 3 years! "reimbursements" for Medicare and Medicaid have been cut to the point that the doctors are treating Medicare patients for free. Needless to say, the docs can't afford to do that for long if they hope to stay in business.
For some reason, people were so in love with Obama that they willingly suspended disbelief of the economic realities when he was out there selling Obamacare! . And now CBS' Scott Pelley acts all shocked that Obama lied. "Surely it wasn't intentional" he wondered desperately. Well, Scott , welcome to the party. Better late than never.
Economics 101: Rising demand without a rise in the supply leads to rising prices. You cannot add the alleged 30 million uninsured, AND mandate all these changes in coverage without costs increasing for the paying classes (otherwise known as the middle class). For the first time in history we don't have a waiting list for Med Schools. You may notice there are more and more foreign doctors practicing here. The best and the brightest are abandoning the idea of being a doctor for a more lucrative, and less demanding, career. The money's not in it anymore. Before liberals howl, why expect potential doctors to go through 8 or more years of college & med school, then work 48 hour shifts, have virtually no life until they're 30, all for very little pay, if there's no payoff at the end of all the years of hard work? Why would anyone (other than the die-hard do-gooders) go through all that to make no more money than an accountant, or an honest lawyer?
They don't get it yet. Services have to be cut, deductibles and premiums have to go up. Yet these true believers still can't see what a disaster this is going to be for THEM! In spite of being told by medical professionals what was going to happen, they just said "oh, that's not going to happen".
Funny story: When her disbelieving patients are negatively effected by the ACA, they are shocked. SHOCKED, I tell you! One woman was livid that her mother, who had never signed up for Part D prescription drugs, finally had to sign up, and Medicare charged her more because she waited! AND they are taking it right out of her Social Security checks! Her daughter, the liberal idiot, is livid that her mother is having to PAY instead of getting it for free as she was led to believe by the politicians. Melissa said this was happening more and more, and she had to struggle not to say "I told you so."
When things really get rolling and we have a decrease in the number of doctors willing to take Obamacare patients (since the reimbursement won't cover the cost of treatment) , people should prepare for long waiting times to get into see a doctor, especially a specialist. If something's wrong, don't wait and hope it gets better. Get on the waiting list now. If you wait till you can't ignore it anymore, you'll die before you ever get in to see the doctor! This is how Canada controls costs for certain groups they don't want to spend much money on.

He has brought 1/6 of the enormous US economy under federal control, and that was the whole point. He got it passed by hook and by crook, lying to the people and bribing their character-challenged representatives, but he got it passed. In a quirk of reverse racism, he never could have gotten away with all that lying if he hadn't been black. The press has been unwilling to treat Obama as an equal to our white Presidents. The main stream media sold their souls to the devil and they sold their "profession" down the river, all to make sure a weak President succeeds, simply because he's black, and Liberal.
